Music and Comedy on the menu at Cheltenham Racecourse

A double date announcement has Cheltenham Racecourse heading for a record year of entertainment.

The venue is gearing up to welcome four massive showbiz names to the town in a frenetic three-month period.

One of the biggest names in acoustic rock music will be heading to Cheltenham after extending the UK leg of his world tour.

English-born, Italian-raised indie icon Jack Savoretti has announced he will be making a stop at The Centaur on Thursday, October 31, giving fans the chance to hear brand-new music from his latest album Singing to Strangers.

The singer-songwriter, likened to Paolo Nutini and James Morrison, has enjoyed critical and commercial success over the last few years, climbing to number one on the album charts with his sixth LP Singing to Strangers earlier this year – which features a song co-written with Bob Dylan.

The announcement comes after a string of UK festival appearances, following dates across the USA this summer.

Following on from Jack Savoretti will be another Jack, but this time its comedian Jack Whitehall who will be appearing.

Catch Jack Whitehall in The Centaur on Monday, November 11 as he tries out new material for his upcoming arena tour.

Jack is firmly on the road to becoming a global megastar and he has television and movie roles that include Netflix’s Jack Whitehall: Travels with My Father, Channel 4’s Meat, the BBC’s Bad Education, as well as films such as The Bad Education Movie, Mother’s Day, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, The Queen’s Corgi          Rex and the upcoming Jungle Cruise.

Musical virtuoso Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra will be returning to Cheltenham later this year for their autumn/winter tour.

The musician and his band will be appearing once again in The Centaur at Cheltenham Racecourse on Saturday, November 9 as part of the 32-date tour.

Accompanying Jools with the Rhythm & Blues Orchestra around the UK will be the Ruby Turner, with her gospel vocals, Louise Marshall, with her soul and jazz tones as well as the powerhouse Gilson Lavis on the drums.

An award-winning comedian and television presenter Rob Beckett is embarking on his biggest headline tour next year and he will be making a stop to Cheltenham Racecourse on Thursday, November 28 with the Wallop! Tour 2019.

The funnyman, dubbed the Mouth from the South, will be known to millions as the presenter of BBC1’s All Together Now, the voice of Celeb’s Go Dating or for appearances on Live at the Apollo.

His razor-sharp wit and humour has also made him a regular fixture on the likes of Mock the Week, 8 out of 10 Cats, Celebrity Juice, A League of Their Own, Would I Lie to You, and many more.

Lee Moulson, Regional Head of Sales at Cheltenham Racecourse, said: “We have an exciting few months ahead of us with some amazing talent.

“We are thrilled to announce Jack Savoretti and Jack Whitehall to the already excellent line-up of Jools Holland and Rob Beckett who are all ready to entertain.
