When hosting an event you have to make a statement when guests get the invitation – not just when they arrive.

Making that kind of impact means that you need to have the right venue and many people are choosing Cheltenham Racecourse.

Whether it is a conference or a Christmas party, a gig or an exhibition – the home of jump racing is iconic and the kind of place that draws people in.

Surrounded by the rolling Cotswold hills and a racecourse, it makes the perfect backdrop and adds that wow factor that people are looking for.

This has certainly been the case over the past year and from September 2017 to September 2018 our most popular type of booking has been the medium-sized conference.

A total of 70 conferences of this size with between 100 and 300 delegates were held at the venue meaning that we are well equipped to cater for businesses, their events and needs.

Also The Centaur was used 49 times in 2018 for events such as shared Christmas parties, The Spectre Cheltenham Masters 2018 Darts Tournament, Cheltenham Racecourse’s very own awards evening – The McCoys, as well as client events such as large conferences, weddings and parties.

Excluding major events mentioned above, footfall for The Centaur – the racecourse’s auditorium that has nearly 2,600m² of flexible space – making it the largest venue of its kind between Birmingham and Bournemouth, for 2018 stands at more than 32,000 people.

This means it is well equipped to cater for any event, but also a hugely unique and versatile venue, boasting 12 function rooms including the magnificent Panoramic Restaurant and 60 syndicate rooms.

Capacities range from two to 2,250 with direct links between the Grandstand Rooms and The Centaur.

A good example of the versatility of the venue is that it will be running the Great Gatsby Christmas Party Friday, December 14 and Saturday, December 15, but at the exact same time we will have The International race meeting taking place as well.

It is about all departments communicating and Cheltenham has a dedicated team who discuss every detail of the event to ensure it runs smoothly and not only meets, but surpasses, expectations.

The venue also has 10,000 complimentary car-parking spaces and complimentary Wi-Fi, which is always an attractive prospect for delegates.

A venue that makes an impression, has facilities that are second-to-none, Cheltenham Racecourse proves itself to be versatile and can stage any event.
